As I type this post, I am drinking a glass of this drink. I wish I could do justice to this drink through the words I type. It’s a good drink for you. After you have had a binge in the last few days, you need a drink that will cleanse your body, remove toxins and make you feel better. Just a small glass of this drink is all you need to get back into shape. It is an ideal morning drink to start your day. After a long morning walk, we enjoy a bowl of hot cereals. It is very important how one starts the day. The rest of the day is pretty balanced if you do it all right. Since last year-end, we have been following this routine.
The first thing we have are some soaked almonds and lemon + honey mixed in warm water. We then head over for a brisk morning walk for about an hour. Once we are back home, we have our breakfast which mostly comprises of nut milk and cereal topped with Vegan Milk Masala. On other days, it’s a nutritious smoothie. But I realized that on days I have cereal, I don’t have any fruits. I also needed a detox drink which would not be heavy as a smoothie yet give me the required nutrients. The opportunity to create such a drink presented itself in the form of lemons! Someone at KR’s office got some excess lemons from his tree to share with his colleagues. KR called to ask me if I wanted some. Hell ya, I did!
While wondering what to do with so many lemons, KR suggested that this is time I should prepare that detox drink which I had been wanting to make. So thanks to that colleague of his, I made this ultimate detox drink recipe! In a blender, add freshly squeezed lemon juice, oranges, blueberries, strawberries, mint leaves and honey. Blitz to make a smooth juice consistency by adding enough water. You can even make it in coconut water. Add ice cubes if required.
Do not strain this and pour in serving glass. Serve immediately. You can also prepare it in batches and store in ziplocks/ice cube tray/airtight containers and have it everyday. While this is a great morning drink, you can also make it your last meal of the day. Not only are detox drinks beneficial for cleansing our body of toxins, but they are a great way to lose weight is what I hear. And I like the sound of that! The natural way is always the best and preferred way. We have been having this drink for a week now and I can already feel the difference in me. My skin feels absolutely amazing and my complexion is glowing. My metabolism is running at lightspeed and I have more energy.

Water and ice cubes are required.
Add fresh squeezed lemon juice, oranges, blueberries, strawberries, mint leaves and honey to the blender. To make a smooth juice consistency, add enough water. You can use coconut water to make it. If necessary, add ice cubes.
Don’t pour in serving glass if you strain this. You should serve immediately.
