Patients safety and comfort are important during the first step of recovery. We rely on several proven methods and protocols to ensure an effective cleanse while keeping patients comfortable and easing withdrawal symptoms.
Medical, Psychiatric and Clinical Assessment – Before the detox process begins, we perform an in-depth assessments that provide us with the insight needed to treat specific withdrawal symptoms and individualize the treatment plan. Creating the individualized detox plan takes into account all factors related to the person including physical health, history and length of substance use, family history, medical needs and mental and emotional health. This comprehensive understanding ensures a more informed and effective detox plan.
24-hour Medical and Clinical Care – Safety is of paramount important at SRC. Patients going through the detox phase of recovery, which typically lasts between 7 and 10 days, are monitored by medical staff 24/7 for any potentially harmful withdrawal symptoms and other medical complications.
Medication Management – Patients begin their journey to recovery in the safest, most comfortable way possible. We alleviate physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms by providing each patient with a research-backed medication regimen unique to their needs that is safely administered by a fully-trained addiction certified doctors and nursing staff.
Case Management – Detox can be an emotional, overwhelming time for clients and their families who just want answers. SRC helps eliminate stress by assigning a case manager to each client. A case manager serves as a primary point of contact and an advocate for the client’s continued care at SRC and ensuring a successful, safe and comfortable detox. Because detox is only the first step in the journey of recovery, SRC strongly recommends ongoing treatment to our residential or outpatient programs. If not continuing at SRC, our case management will make every effort to provide referrals so that the patient continues to work on their recovery. Detox alone is not recommended to be the solution.
Family Workshop Program – This SRC Program focuses on educating families on the disease of addiction, relapse and prevention techniques, coping skills, boundaries and healthy relationships. Families will increase their understanding of the disease of addiction and learn how to support their loved one in healthy ways, rather than unintentionally enabling them. Family Workshop is open to any family member interested in learning more about addiction and takes place on Saturdays.
