There is a safe and healing place for women who are beginning, or reinventing, their recovery at POWER House. You can stay for up to six months while you work on achieving your goals with the help of the staff who are there to support you.
At 6 a.m. is when a typical day at POWER House begins. After breakfast, your day will consist of a variety of activities including: daily exercise, group and individual therapy, meditation, and life skills classes, 12-Step and other self-help meetings, and time to socialize and have meals with other residents. You will enjoy a good night’s sleep in your private bedroom when the day is over.
In your recovery, your loved ones play an important role. When you meet with your therapist, you will learn more about scheduling.
The Medical Director is available for consultation and medication management. You will be helped with education, employment, and housing needs by our Resource Coordinator. If desired, the Squirrel Hill Health Center partners for primary care and medication-assisted treatment.
There are 26 private bedrooms, a playroom for visiting children, and healing gardens on the grounds of POWER House. It is staffed on a daily basis.
